The main control room habitability in-leakage test of a nuclear power plant is a key link to ensure that personnel are habitable under accident conditions. The currently widely used experimental method is the constant flow method, but there are problems such as high measurement uncertainty and inability to verify accuracy. Based on the verification idea of the containment sealing test, this paper proposes a new verification method. After completing the initial in-leakage test measurement, a known internal leakage is artificially introduced, and a second measurement is taken under the superimposed condition. The difference between the two measurements is compared with the theoretical value to assess the accuracy of the measurement. Laboratory and engineering field application results show that this verification technology has small measurement deviations, reliable results, and is suitable for engineering practice, but still needs to be optimized to shorten the test cycle and further improve its practicality.
